Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American Actor, best known as a star of the well-known TV series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started when he was in college. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. He's appeared in TV and films, however the small screen characters that brought him fame and an enormous following. This is not surprising since he has been able grab audiences' attention by playing characters who are on either side of the law. He played the part of a serial killer in his debut television show and then went on to portray the character as an NYPD detective. His performances on small screens were rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. His piercing blue eyes his eyes are thought to be his most attractive aspect of his appearance. They have been utilized to portray rough characters as well as give them a sense of humour. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
